Specifics of teacher assistants work with pupils with ASD in mainstream primary schools in the field of social skills development

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to clarify the specifics of the work of teaching assistants with pupils with autism spectrum disorder in mainstream primary schools in the field of social skills development. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to autism spectrum disorder and basic theoretical knowledge about these disorders, including the definition of triad problem areas and the way of classification of individual disorders. The theoretical part further deals with the description of the position of teaching assistant within the Czech education system, including its legislative anchor. In the following chapters of the theoretical part of the thesis, the work of teaching assistant with pupils with autism spectrum disorder is discussed with a specific focus on methods that teaching assistant can use in his work with this target group. In addition, the topic of cooperation of teaching assistant with pupil(s), their family(s) and school is also presented. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter on the possibilities and importance of developing the social skills of pupils with autism spectrum disorder within the framework of normal education. Educating children from a Children's Home

Dissertation is focused on the issue of institutional care in the Czech Republic. The main focus of this work are children's homes, education and socialization of children placed in this type of residential care. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the characteristics of subjects of institutional care in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, to compare institutional care with selected countries and describe the child's socialization in the family and at school. A historical overview of institutional care in the Czech Republic is also described, and in conclusion the author deals with a specific description of the social inclusion of pupils with special educational needs in the teaching process at primary school. The empirical part reports on the research and its results obtained by qualitative methodology using case study design. The main goal of the research was to find out how children from a children's home are integrated into the teaching process at primary school. Furthermore, the author set several partial goals. Use of ergotherapy in children's home

This bachelor's thesis called "Use ergotherapy in children's home" concerns subtitutional educational care with a special focus on children's home. Its theorecical part point sout specific features, typology and probleme of children who are involved in the substitutional educational care. It describes ergotherapy as a way of working with children placed in the children's home. It also describes how ergotherapy can be used for social skills development of the kids placed in these institutions due to the act number 109/2002. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis contains a suggestion of an ergotherapeutic programme which is focused both on an individul development as well as a group of children placed in the institutions of the substitutional educational care. The ergotherapeutic programme is designed for the communicational and cooperative development as well as establishing social interaction aminy children of the same age. Video Interaction Guidance and possibilities of its use at primary prevention programms

Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) or Video Home Training (VHT) was introduced to the Czech Republic in 1993. SPIN is a provider of education, training and supervision, a non- governmental organization dedicated to VIG/VHT in Czech Republic. The method was conceived in the Netherlands in the 80's, the country from where it is still spread to the whole world, especially to Europe. The method's theory is broadly based on developmental psychology theories, ethnology, learning theories and theories of communication. Initially, the VHT was used as an intervention method focused on families with children, later it entered the fields of education and other professional help and was known as VIG. This Diploma Thesis brings essential information about the VHT/VIG Method, its theoretical basis and applications. The thesis also deals with the programmes of primary prevention in the Czech Republic and Europe. The theoretical part concludes with a description of field where VHT/VIG can be used in primary prevention programmes. In the qualitative study, we describe case studies of seven lecturers of primary prevention who undertook the method VHT/VIG. Social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics

This final thesis deals with the issue of social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics. The theoretical foundations of this work is to define the term of social skills and is explained his importance to the society. A substantial part of the theory is also devoted to the social skills in connection with the Framework educational program. Within the empirical part, an analysis of the FEP for BA is performed, through which the state of the method concentrated on the social skills of students is determined. Furthermore, through a questionnaire survey, the current state of acquired social skills of selected students from the first years on BA is investigated and their view on this issue. This work is also focusing on whether teachers in the Economics produce sufficient appropriate environment that would allow students to develop their social skills. The final goal is to suggest specific games and activities that allow students to improve these skills in the Economics.
